What you need for this position:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Professional Engineer license preferred
- 5+ years experience in physical engineering of high voltage power plant switchyards and utility substations
- Familiar with design , specification, layout and procurement of high voltage substations.
- Demonstrates ability to manage engineering tasks and design efforts on Transmission Network projects.
- Strong background in substation physical design.

What you'll be doing:

- Prepare engineering deliverables for high voltage substation equipment and design modification packages.
- Specify and layout all major equipment within a high voltage utility substation up to 500kV
- Prepare substation drawings and calculations for;
~~ grounding
~~ lightning protection
~~ rigid bus bracing
~~ transformer sizing
~~ fault calculations
~~ AC and DC auxiliary system sizing calculations
- Able to produce bills of material for all substation components.
