Infrastructure Engineer Virtual Job in Atlanta Georgia (GA)

Role Description:

Responsible for the complete process of infrastructure design, including systems design, security, network and monitoring, and systems configuration for integration with applicaiton and data. Infrastructure includes hardware, operation systems, database management systems, network and secuirty. Also conducts end-to-end plan design, controls production, and implements and monitors systems. Develops long-term strategy for historical data retention and archival plan for storage needs; defines data retention, backup, and recovery. Coordinates with Development to ensure that implementations regarding network and infrastructure security across company are fully understood and leveragable. Develops corporate-wide standards to ensure compatibility and integration of multi-vendor platforms.

Client wants someone with strong multi-vendor experience, focused on hardware and network infrastructure design, eg, application servers, load balancers, network configuration, database connectivity. Virtualization experience would be a plus. Prior experience with operations and support are strongly preferred.
