The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking applications for a Systems Programmer/Specialist for the office of Info & Technology Services. This is a full-time, permanent staff position. Information and Technology Services (ITS) is the central information technology unit for the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. ITS provides and supports campus-wide services in the areas of technology support, enterprise applications, information security, systems and operations, data networking, telecommunications and University Research Computing.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience managing and maintaining a Windows server infrastructure environment is also required.
Essential Job Duties: The incumbent for this position will configure, monitor, maintain and troubleshoot a Windows Server infrastructure and an Active Directory environment. Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to designing, implementing and managing Group Policy and maintaining systems using PowerShell. A working knowledge of converged server infrastructure, iSCSI and/or Fiber Channel Storage is preferred.
